This is a book about copies
Plato once said that “A work of art is a copy of a copy of a form.” Intrigued and confused at the same time, I began exploring how and why someone imitates or copies. I started to notice how some of the greatest works of art have already been done before, but how do people imitate or copy other people's works? How do we take inspiration from other artists and create new outcomes? Why do any of us imitate in the first place? I used this curiosity and made it into a book; a book that visualizes my answers and arguments to these questions, with the goal of helping others understand that looking at other people's work is a valid means of generating ideas.
