Sweet & Spicy is a narrative and recipe book that explores the Javanese and Padang cuisine. The aim of the project was to design a publication identity that extends across print and digital channels — and I did mine on traditional food from my mother and father's culture, Java and Padang respectively. The book talks not only about the ingredients and flavor of each dish, but it also tells personal stories about the experience of cooking and eating the food. Stories that revolve around culture, love, and family.
