Me Too

Me Too is a psychedelic poster that is strongly influenced by the Psychedelic art movement of the 1960s. There are two main designs that inspired my work, they are Moby Grape and The Big Brother & The Holding Co. concert poster made in 1967 and The Association, Along Comes Mary, Quicksilver Messenger Service, Grassroots rock show poster by Wes Wilson from 1966. I was really interested in the layout and color scheme of the Moby Grape poster. It has a female figure in the center,
and the contrasting colors of pink, purple, and orange created a nice combination without being too distracting.

Inspirations

Even though the inspirations I chose were designs for rock music and shows, I want to create a poster on the feminist movement from our contemporary culture today. The 1960s was a time of political change – a time that proved activism truly works. It brought the rise of gay and women liberation. So, I believe the 1960s and Psychedelic art is the perfect movement to present my ideas.
