Futura is an accordion book that is designed to showcase a typeface called Futura. Futura is a sans-serif typeface that is based on strong geometric forms – particularly the circle, triangle, and square. The circle cutout and the square size of the book were inspired by the geometric forms of the typeface. I chose to do an accordion book because I want the audience to read it in a specific order – from its history, anatomy, hyphens, and glyphs to its alphabet letters and font family in various weights. I also added a little interactive element in the book; there is a hidden black folder where I put "Did you know?" cards about Futura. These cards tell the fun facts about the typeface.
